We are so excited to have you as our guests in our Sanibel home.
Check in time is 3 PM or later, no exceptions.
The entrance code will be provided to you a few days prior to your reservation start date.
You must have a parking pass on your car rear view mirror and this will be left in the condo for you on the island. If by chance it is not there,
Please go to building B apt B1 and pick one up. You can do this 8 am Monday morning.
There is recycle and regular trash bins to the right of the pickleball courts.
A key on an orange triangle will be left for you in the kitchen pantry cabinet next to the window on the upper cabinet but not top cabinet. This is to the outside owners’ storage area which contains the beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and childrens’ toys. This cabinet is located as you walk from the condo past the elevator on the right side. Please put the key back in the condo after taking or placing these items away so it doesn’t get lost. You will be charged for a lost key.
Do not bring these items into the condo from the beach. We don’t want sand everywhere.
On that note, we put a shoe cabinet to the left of the front door. Please clean your shoes and you can store them there.
There is a hair dryer in each bathroom for your convenience and starter toiletries and soaps. Please bring more toilet paper, paper towels and food items to last the length of your stay. Before you get on the island there are the following stores: Publix, Aldi, Walmart, Target, Costco, drug stores like CVS, etc.
On the island as of this time, we only have one sizeable grocery store, Jerry’s, as Baileys hasn’t yet been rebuilt from Hurricane Ian.
We provide very fine appliances and would like you to take care of them. Do not put sandy items like towels and swimsuits from the gulf into the dryer to dry. It will rust and ruin the dryer. Please only put washed clean items into the dryer.
Our stove is an induction electric so put the pot on the stove that is as big or bigger than the circle drawn on the stove top.
We have a combo/coffee maker in the kitchen- ground beans to go in for larger cups and ground beans for single cups. There is a Keurig in the master bedroom. We do not supply coffee or pods for the Keurig.
Apply all spray sunscreen outside as this sticks to our beautiful furniture and ruins it.
Check out is 9:50 am, no exceptions.
Please do the following prior to leaving:
Put all your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run it.
Take out all your trash.
Remove all perishable items from the refrigerator. We cannot leave them for the next guests per Florida law.
A few things worth mentioning that will be helpful for your stay:
The Sanibel police are very strict with speed limits. Please do not exceed them or your stay will not be as pleasant when you receive a ticket that has points with it!
There are no-seeums in all these warm areas. These are sandflies that are most active in the warm weather especially during sunrise and sunset. Please cover everything if you want to walk on the beach at these times or you will have little itchy welts on your exposed skin that will last for weeks. We find that a thick layer of Avon Skin so Soft will drown these flies so they don’t bite but feel free to use your choice of deterrent.
